Light, Life, Love: Saint Mary's Peak (week 4,28/365,shinsato)

St. Mary's Peak is almost obscured by snow clouds. This peak is part of the Bitterroot mountain range that held the Lewis and Clark expedition back several months before they could get through them. The mountain was considered sacred by the Salish as a place for Vision Quests. It was at the base of this mountain in the small town of Stevensville in 1841 that a dying Salish girl had a vision of the Virgin Mary which is what gave the mountain its name as well as the Jesuit mission at the base of the mountain.

Thanks for the "gift" of Light, Light and Love...I too have been trying to share an understanding of these "haloed" words.

I'm sure you are aware of the battle that rages to try to wrestle these words from the Christian camp. The Gnostics and New Agers put out their non-Christocentric version of it to inveigle the masses away from MASS.

Keep up the great work!
