Life: This is revolution man...(Che).(week 12,82/365,jreyes)
Originally uploaded by jmoisesreyesAnother early painting of mine, before Che was popularized by Motorcycle Diaries. It was a great movie, now every disenfranchised kid wants to go to Peru/South America and experience what they experienced. My friends and I actually went to Peru, because 1) I had like 40 hours of vacation from work. 2) one of them didn't have a job and was itchin' to get out of the US 3) we were all single and had expendable income. All I have to say is Te amo Peru! I loved it. I really wanted to make Che wear a corporate suit, like a 3 piece suit, because it is a damn shame when his image is portrayed like the coca-cola classic across the western world. Sure his image makes you think of change, revolution, struggle against capitalist pigs, so on and so on with Marxist ideas, but his image is far too used by corporations to spin his image. It is a bit ironic that capitalist marketers use a communist image of strength and power against capitalism to sell some crappy t-shirt (Made in China a Communist country) to a consumer.
