Another salad with hard boiled eggs, baked fish, avocados, and croutons and tomatoes. This was pretty tasty. I am getting pretty good at making salads these days. It is usually my dinner.

I know I have taken a picture of this painting before for Project 365, but this has been one of my most favorite paintings I have ever tried to accomplish. There is something about Baron's determination over Kirilenko. I don't know my friends who are Warrior fans love this idea, when I shared them the earlier photos. But yeah I am going to miss this project when I am done.

"As we pass from one century to another, one millennium to another, we would like to think that history itself is transformed as dramatically as the calendar. However, it rushes on, as it always did, with two forces racing towards the future, one splendidly uniformed, the other ragged, but inspired.

There is the past and its continuing horrors: violence, war, prejudices against those who are different, outrageous monopolization of the good earth's wealth by a few, political power in the hands of liars and murderers, the building of prisons instead of schools, the poisoning of the press and the entire culture of money. It is easy to become discouraged observing this, especially since this is what the press and television insist we look at, and nothing more.

But there is also (though much of this is kept from us, to keep us intimidated and without hope) the bubbling of change under the surface of obedience....

Yes, we have in this country, dominated by corporate wealth and military power and two antiquated political parties, what a fearful conservative characterized as "a permanent adversarial culture" challenging the present, and demanding a new future.

It is a race in which we can all choose to participate, or just watch. But we should know that our choice will help determine the outcome. "

These are perfect push-up twisting helper bars. These things actually work. I was bit of a skeptic, but these things make your chest, shoulders, and triceps sore. I am a sucker for infomercials, but these things actually work. The more I do push-ups, the more my body feels like it gets used to the soreness. I guess that's why it's called working out. Anyways, I have been pretty disciplined with regards to project 365. So hopefully that will translate to being disciplined doing push-ups before I go to bed and right after I wake up.

I am getting pretty good at making salad for friends these days. I am attempting to eat vegetarian, and for a Filipino guy who loves pork, fish, chicken, beef, lamb and any other living thing. It has been a bit hard. I am down to about every other day eating very little meat. This was a pretty yummy salad. Unfortunately the main dish this night was pizza from Maldonado's in Mountain View, CA. Do'h.

Happy first century Jew named Jesus' conquest over death, sin, and satan for the world day! Or rather what I meant to say is Happy Easter! Anyways, I find that a more fitting description. Easter sounds too vanilla. I had a blast playing bass on Easter morning. We had about 1 hour to rehearse 6 songs with the full band, one last minute chord changes to one song, but I thought the set turned out pretty awesome. At one weird point though, no one was clapping, it just made me smile. Anyways, the guitar solo by my friend Pat was freakin' awesome! He has the coolest pedal setup ever. He makes funktaculous sounds from his guitar. But what was cooler was the message this morning about Jesus conquest over death, sin, and satan for the world, not just for individuals, but for the WORLD. Anyways, after services, the church went to a park for lunch, then I went to my sister's house and had dinner. My brother-in-law made this awesome lamb rack and potatoes, and some white beets. It was a very good Easter day. Happy resurrection day Jesus!

It is the only place where you can get a 5ohm transistor, a toaster, a flat-screen TV, some RAM, a Maxim magazine, beef jerky, and a bag of Dorritos. Seriously if it had a dentist or a doctor on site, some engineers may be able to live there. Also each Fry's has a theme inside them. This one looks like a barn inside it.
