Day 6 - Today was a full day at sea. We docked in Istanbul at around 4:00pm. Istanbul was amazing. There were plenty of mosques in the city. Istanbul is huge. There is roughly 16 million people who live in and around Istanbul. Turkey is a huge country which bridges Europe and Asia together. The silk road goes through here. But that may be some future expedition. Anyways, I remember being pretty stoked about going to Turkey for the first time. At the time, I wanted to eat a turkey sandwich in Turkey.

Day 5 - We arrived in Pireaus, Greece. It is the main port of entry to Athens. This is Sounion, which is Poseidon's temple. My family went on to visit Corinth, while I went on a longer tour of Sounion and the Acropolis. This temple overlooks the sea and it has gorgeous views of the Agean Sea. Anyways, I also took some funny I am crushing Posieden's temple photos.

Here is the wikipedia for Sounion.

I don't know why, but I really found this figure funny. Croatia is a beautiful country. It is mostly by the water so it has gorgeous panoramic views. It is being visited by a lot of tourists these days, but that's good because it moves the Croatians up. It is a state from the former socialist state Yugoslavia.

Day 3 - This was my first fancy dinner on the cruise. I ordered this delicious watermelon appetizer. The cruise food was excellent. The service was great. You don't really have to worry about anything when you are on a cruise. I guess that is why it caters to a lot of older retired folk who travel. I met some really cool spunky old Americans on this cruise. You know they have time and obviously have the money to travel and see the world. Anyways, I could see that some people were still unhappy or still worried about crap in their life America. I always let go, and live by the moment of the travel. But I wonder why people were still unhappy or rather complained. What was their reason for such feelings? I mean they were on a cruise in Europe. I guess some things are just not enough for some people. I guess some people can never be happy, even if they are on vacation in Europe. That to me was profound and really sad. For me, I was enjoying this watermelon appetizer livin' it up.

Day 2 - I woke up @ 5:45am this day to try to explore the city of Venice in the early morning. I took some nice shots of St. Mark's square and the main canal. What was crazy to me was after about 2 hours, St . Mark's filled out to some 10,000 people within 3 hours after I woke up. The previous evening rained a little bit, but this next day turned out to be a beautiful day in Venice. My family wanted to experience the gondola ride so we asked our hotel where we could hire someone for such a ride. He quickly made a couple a of phone calls and within 30 min. he said a gondola operator would swing by the hotel to pick us all up. The gondola ride lasted about 45 min. through the canals of Venice. This was really a cool experience. Too bad the gondola guy didn't sing "O solo mio." That would have been epic.

Day 1 - We took a water taxi from the Marco Polo Airport in Venice to our hotel called Hotel Columbuna. This was an awesome way experience to see Venice for the first time! There was a little bit of a delay in Frankfurt, Germany. The Frankfurt airport is crazy confusing and under construnction. There are 3 levels and we didn't find the tram from concourse A to B,C,D,E so we walked like 3/4 of a mile to concourse B. Anyways, the airplane landed in Venice and by this time I was happy to take my first shots of Venice.
