Gas is hella expensive. It is almost $4 a gallon. I wish it was like 1998 when a gallon of gas was like $1.50. I remember when people were trippin' out because gas was going to hit $2. I miss those days.

My coworker accidentally stated her Facebook birthday was this week. Her actual birthday is in September. I messaged her happy birthday, and she was like "What are you talking about?" I then showed her the snapshot of that Facebook was telling everyone it is her birthday. So my boss is also on Facebook and bought a cake for a celebration. Thus we had delicious mango mouse cake from Sogo Chinese bakery for an afternoon break for a fake Facebook birthday. It was good times. There is white and milk chocolate around the edge. And there was actual mangos inside the cake. Mmmmm mangos... Anyways day 103 is now complete!

I went to Ryowa, Japanese ramen place in downtown Mountain View. This is the butter corn ramen with extra vegetables. This place really hits the spot for me. I like this ramen place a lot. I probably have gone at least once a month to this place. It is typically very busy and the seating is consisted of to big U shaped tables. Seating is a first come first serve and you basically feel like you are eating with strangers. Anyways, I really enjoy eating ramen at Ryowa.

MY teacher is not talking/suggesting anything to me about this piece. She is just waiting till I complete the design to make corrections and what not. It is a challenging difficult piece, because I don't typically paint a lot of actions on paintings. They are typically static pieces or portraits. Anyways, I love this dunk. It symbolizes Bay Area basketball's triumph and comeback from years of terrible Warrior teams in the past 14 years. This dunk signified BDiddy's bravado, athleticism, and pure strength. Anyways, it is unfinished, but I love working on it. I think I will miss working on it when it is done.

Life: Me shed (week 10,69/365,shinsato)

This is a little engineering project of my own. I heat my office with wood in the winter, and this shed is where I store the wood. I built it myself, which was quite fun. I build a roof, propped it up with four by four posts that I cemented into the ground, papered the roof panels and nailed shingles, left over from the construction of the house.

Life: Dam of Beaver (week 10,68/365,shinsato)

This pond is created right on a creek on our land. The beavers swim in it and catch fish in it. Unfortunately, they also hang around and chew the bark off around the bases of trees, which effectively kills them. Our neighbors aren't that happy about it. I do like the beavers and the dam itself, which is quite wide and was quite an engineering feat. But we'll probably need to do something to make it a little less cozy for the little critters.

Life & Light: U from the M (week 10,67/365,shinsato)

The University of Montana at Missoula has a mountain right at the campus which sports a giant white M. The trail to the M, or the M trail, is what I hiked this gloriously warm and sunny spring feeling Sunday, though technically it was still winter. People were smiling from ear to ear, wearing t-shirts, enjoying the warm weather, at least for a spell.

Anyways, I found this hundred dollar bill from the days of traveling where we would hide emergency money in pockets of our backpacks just in case we needed bail money or if we got robbed. So I found this in an old back pack cleaning up a hidden pocket. It is always a good idea to hide money and also have a copy of your friends passports with you at all times just in case something happens when you are outside the US. I have a philosophy that all you need in life when you travel are credit cards and your US passport, that's it!

I went to this quaint liquor store and deli in Boulder Creek, CA. This place has some of the best tri-tip sandwiches. The tri-tip is soaked in a very tasty broth/marinade that makes the tri-tip juices soak through the soft roll. Mmm this is hella good just describing this meal. It is basically out in the middle of a small town on the way to Santa Cruz, CA on highway CA(9). I went with friends, I like random food outings like this. They are always pretty fun. Also, California is looking more and more like its normal self again. I missed the sunshine, the wind, and the clear blue skies of NorCal. God's country I tell ya, God's country!

He is no longer the tiny newborn just 15 months ago. I cherish these moments with my little nephew, because soon he will be growing up in this crazy world. I pray that God may protect, guide, and lead my little nephew. Kids grow up so fast from his first explorations of cooking pans to some day galavanting around the world. I am excited for him, yet worried for him at the same time.
