This dog is so awesomely beautiful. I believe the dog's name is Dasy. Anyways, the dog was walking up to the camera and I clicked the shutter. I really love this photo. I was at Cameron's 1st birthday party up in Dublin, CA. I can't believe he is 1 now. Kids grow up so fast these days. No cropping with this shot too, the doggy was just hella close to the camera.

I like avocados. I used to eat these as a dessert. In the Philippines you eat them with milk and sugar. It was a good dessert for kids. I used to think it was odd for avocados to be in guacamole or anything with salt and spices. I was used to them being eaten with sugar and milk. I mentioned this to one of my good friends who is Mexican and he said the thought of eating avocados with sugar was disgusting. Aaaah the melting pot of America.

Today is a totally lazy 365 day for me. I took a picture of one of my first paintings. This was probably done in the summer of 2005. This was when my teacher encouraged me to just start with backgrounds. So I did and I went at it with blues and whites. I guess this abstract influenced me to be able to create the shadows of blue on the portraits of people I paint. Anyways, this painting just reminds me of the sky sometimes. To me the painting just flows. To where? I have no idea. But just flow man, sometimes you just gotta flow with it.

I finished Howard Zinn and I am now reading Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. I didn't know he graduated from Santa Clara University. That's pretty cool, he went to my alma mater. Anyways, the book is pretty good. It is a story of an Afghan family and its life during the 1970s after the Afghan monarchy got over thrown. The writing is easy enough for anyone to read, but there is a quick pace to it which makes you want to read what is coming up next. The author does a pretty good job telling the story. It is a bit tragic right now, I just finished the first 1/3 of the book, but I think it will get better. Anyways, recently I am finding joy with reading books and writing these long winded descriptions on my 365(6) project of life, light, and love. I used to blog a lot before, but this time there is a picture to at least get a glimpse to some of the ideas in the writing. BTW, I was not a communications or an English major. I was a Math major. :-)

She is really a talented photographer. All her stuff blows my photos away. Much props because she is awesome at Photoshop too. I suck at photoshop, I can only make a Nicole Ritchie on a corn dog and use actions from others. Anyways, I liked the Gods Emerald silhouette a lot and I don't know I decided to draw it because I want to someday make a pumpkin carving out of it. I think that would be awesome!!!!!

BTW, silhouette is a really hard word to spell. It is really difficult for me to remember. I have to google it every time to make sure I spell it write. What would the world be like if it had no google. I know it would be like the internet from 1994-1997. Man the internet in 1997 majorly sucked. I think everyone was using AOL dial up on 14.4k. Oh man those were the days, I remember reading the first reports about Princess Diana's death on AOL. Aaaah good internet times, bad times for all Diana's fans.

I took this after watching UCLA make it to the Final Four. They beat Xavier to make to their 3rd consecutive Final Four. Hopefully this time they will win it all. Growing up in LA, I rooted for UCLA. I hated USC. I don't know why, but I just did. USC is a great school, but UCLA just seemed like it had a better tradition and just has better people coming out of that school. Anyways, I am a huge NCAA tournament fan. I don't have a TV so I have to go to my sister's house and watch TV. I have no TV by choice, because I just don't want to be enslaved by media and corporate advertising. It is a personal decision. And I have gone about 6-7 months with out a TV. I didn't have one for about 2 years before this current boycott of television. I mean these days, I like to make my own content, hence this project 365. It is a lot better than TV. Although I do miss The Office, Heroes, Conan, Leno, ESPN Sportscenter, Food Network and E! These were my favorite shows. Anyways, it was beautiful day in Campbell, CA as shown by these flowers.
