Life: Navajo-Churro Sheep (week 4,27/365,shinsato)

We have a few sheep on our land, these are three of twelve. The breed was actually reconstructed from a breed that the Navajo Indians used to hold, but the white settlers effectively destroyed the breed to make it harder for the Indians to make a go of it. The Navajo-Churro breed was assembled from remnants to reproduce the historical qualities. Their wool is coarse, very good for the carpets the Navajo weave.
